Only been here for a week but one thing prompted me to give a 5 star review: Steve from maintenance! I've been in a couple of similar apartment complexes before and maintenance would always be a pain. Wasn't thrilled to have to submit a maintenance request so early due to a faulty hanging wall rack in the closet... but Steve came around the very next day, acknowledged our issue, scheduled a next day appointment so he could get the necessary tools, and came around the next day to fix it, all with a level of professionalism, positive attitude and friendliness that were pretty admirable, he even gave me some great tips on wall anchors! So huge props to Steve and very happy with how my maintenance request was handled, deserves a positive review!

My interactions with Foundry's leasing office were nothing short of a nightmare! My lease ended in mid-June this year, but I never received our deposit, which amounted to more than $5,000. It was IMPOSSIBLE to contact the leasing office. They neither answered my calls nor responded to my emails. They claimed to have issued the deposit check, but they couldn't even provide a tracking number for the supposed mail. The check was never received, and I was never able to cash it! Originally, the leasing office staff promised to let me pick up the deposit check in person, but they mailed it instead. I want them to re-issue the check but they have GHOSTED me. Another concerning interaction I had with the leasing office was the attempt to SCAM residents through their leasing contract. They required a notice 6 months before your lease end date, stating whether you intend to renew or terminate the lease. Otherwise, they would try to manipulate you into paying extra rent at the monthly rate. DO NOT CONSIDER FOUNDRY AS YOUR NEXT RESIDENCE!

I've had occasional difficulties with The Foundry's management in the past. However, I recently worked with Noah, and it was the best experience I've ever had with an apartment complex! Noah is incredibly attentive and kind, and he helped me sort out a tough last-minute living situation with so much patience and positivity. I highly recommend that everyone work with Noah! Also, Dan does incredible maintenance work and is a genuinely great person. The Foundry is lucky to have these two, and they make me happy to live here!

Before moving to this place I used to get calls every alternate day to sign the lease, add my card to the system, etc. but the real struggle begins after you do it. There is literally ZERO communication from the management, there is NO WAY to reach ANYONE in the office (have tried every possible number). Every time it connects, the call is redirected to the voicemail and I’ve never heard back from them! I SPECIFICALLY mentioned that I need a 1 bedroom and not a studio, but I was given an apartment with a HUGE gaping space on the wall between the living room and the bedroom. I tried contacting the management to solve this problem and got no response whatsoever. I have emailed the management multiple times and followed up too but it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get a response. When I address the management in person, I am given the same answer ‘please send an email to this address and we’ll look into it’ , but its of NO USE. I was most disappointed to see that the main lift in my building doesn’t work half the days. The amenities are average. The coffee in the clubhouse is very bad (they don’t have proper coffee cups with lids). If you are still considering this place , I would highly suggest against it. There are better places around and in campus for better prices. Can’t wait to move out.

I am proud to call Foundry South my second home at Notre Dame. I have appreciated the proximity to campus and living in a beautiful, new apartment during difficult school year. The front desk is responsive and extremely accommodating. I have experienced some complex challenges when deciding when and how to move-in and move-out, and the front desk were quick to resolve my concerns and I felt much more at ease once they created a solution for me. l I have had the pleasure of working with Theresa, Alex, and Zach to find a home during my third and fourth year at college. They are so kind and always greet me with a smile. The front desk's energy is contagious and it brightens my day when I see them. All of my guests are constantly in awe of the apartment complex and the amenities it offers. In addition, I have had the wonderful pleasure of working with Mimi to host my birthday celebrations at the Conference Room in Foundry North. I am so grateful for all of the members of Foundry community because they have been a crucial facet of my experience at Notre Dame and have helped me create memories I will cherish forever.

Wanted to give a special shout out to the maintenance team at The Foundry - they really have made the living experience exceptional. Service is always timely and thorough (sometimes even correcting additional problems that I had not even noticed yet). Communication is great and it's always a joy to see the team, even when I am walking through the buildings or around Eddy St. The hospitality and kindness is very much appreciated. Steve Teeter especially goes out of his way to do an incredible job.
